How We Work
Simple Five-Step Process
1. Conversation
Every space is unique. We start with a free conversation so we can learn about your organization, space, program, and expectations. This critical step allows us to set acoustic, visual, and budgetary goals that will guide the rest of the project. For many large spaces, some simple calculations and an analysis of photos and cell phone recordings will be enough to quote your project.
2. Teleacoustics or Site Analysis
While we have learned a lot about what works for most spaces, some rooms don’t play by the rules and require a more hands-on, in -person approach. Often times in these cases the industry-standard equations can actuallyover predict how much absorption you need, driving your costs up. Our experience and on-site acoustic testing are an affordable way to set reliable good, better, and best target benchmarks for your space when we can’t resolve it remotely. Which products, how much, and where are answered in this step. Results are delivered in a report that serves as a lasting source of truth, whether or not you choose to proceed immediately with a solution option. There’s no obligation to use Cafeteria’s products, but if you do, half the price of this step will be deducted from the cost of the solution.
3. Pricing
The report from Step 2 can be used to price options using Cafeteria’s product offerings. The question of which product, how much, and where is turned into a quote.
4. Construction Administration
Installation can raise unexpected conditions and questions, so we remain available to address any impact on the acoustic goals during this process.
5. Report: Final Results
If you’ve chosen in-person testing, the tests from Step 2 can be repeated after installation to ensure reasonable agreement between the target goals and the final room. In most rooms, the result is so obvious to the client’s ear that this step isn’t necessary, but some customers or institutions appreciate the documentation to back up their investment.
